"I am now symptom free, and my life's mission it to use my knowledge to help others. I aim to be the person that I needed when I was diagnosed with RA"
I know how it feels to be where you are right now...
It feels isolating to have a chronic condition
Doctors tell you that you have to live with your condition, and the only option is to take drugs
We naturally expect
to heal from illness but, with chronic illness we question that
I know there is another way...
My journey into a health profession began the day that I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), a chronic auto-immune condition. Despite the strong advice of two rheumatologists as well as the considerable pain and discomfort I was in, I did not want to take the drugs prescribed. I was fearful of the side effects and I didn’t want to submit to a life where I would only ever mask the symptoms of RA and never cure it.
I became an obsessive researcher and found that changing my diet significantly improved my symptoms. Along the way I qualified in nutritional therapy in London as well as training in Functional Medicine in the USA, learning from world experts in these fields.
I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist registered with the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT).
I have completed my training with the Institute of Functional Medicine including Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice as well as all the Advanced Practice modules.
